Ali Forbes
Ali’s background is rooted in the psychology and mental health space. After graduating from West Virginia University, she started her career at WVU Medicine working to helping patients at an eating disorder clinic. She moved to a dual diagnosis unit (co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse disorders), and later, she returned back to New York where she worked to help at-risk youth with mental health disorders.
Ali has always been an athlete and has been passionate about fitness since she was a young girl sprinting down the soccer field. Shortly after giving birth to her son in 2014, she decided it was time to pursue fitness full time. She studied through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), attending several workshops and learning from some of the industry’s best, such as Dr. Rick Richey at the Independent Training Spot in Manhattan. Ali stays on top of the future of fitness and attends the latest and greatest workshops for continuing education. She continues to attend fitness conferences including NASM Optima, IDEA World, and IDEA PTI, among others. She has also completed special training workshops and gotten certifications through Technogym Education, BOSU University, TRX Suspension Training, and Bulletproof Stretch & Recovery.
Ali has been teaching group fitness classes and personal training for 6.5 years. When she is not in a group class, she is training clients one on one, or on the nearest sports field cheering on her son, Felix! Ali and her family recently relocated to Denver, NC from upstate New York and are thrilled to be a part of this wonderful community!
